Course Description:

Introductory course for HP NonStop Tandem Server operations, systems analysts, help desk, and programming specialists.  Covers basic overview of hardware and software as well as utilities such as TACL, FUP, Spoolcom, Peruse, and editors TEDIT and Edit.

HP NonStop Tandem SQL Basic Skills

Course Length:

4½ Days

Prerequisites:

Introduction to HP NonStop Tandem Server, HP Concepts & Facilities or equivalent experience and recommended one-year database experience

 

Course Description:

Students will learn SQL basic component configuration, ad-hoc querying of the database using SQLCI and perform basic SQL management techniques.

NonStop SQL Programming for the MP or MX Environments

Course Length:

4½ Days

Prerequisites:

Introduction to HP NonStop Tandem Server, HP NonStop Tandem Concepts & Facilities or equivalent experience, SQL Basic Skills (DML commands) and programming experience recommended.

 

Course Description:

Students will learn embedded SQL programmatic functions using either a COBOL or C based server program.  Parameters, control functions, and writing functions are covered, along with compile options.

Prerequisites:

Introduction to HP NonStop Tandem Server, HP NonStop Tandem Concepts & Facilities or equivalent experience, SQL Basic Skills (DML commands).

Prerequisites:

Introduction to HP NonStop Tandem Server, HP NonStop Tandem Concepts & Facilities or equivalent experience and one-year systems analyst experience recommended.

 

Course Description:

Students will learn advanced systems analysis and management techniques including DSM/SCM, data file manipulation, system balancing, and automating operations techniques.
